Hope Bubble News

The Hope Bubble is our Key Stage 2 bubble, and we have pupils from Years 3 - 6 within this group. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings we are focusing our learning on Maths and English. On Thursday and Friday morning we are focusing our learning on timetables, History and Geography. Throughout the week, in the afternoons we have a mental health and wellbeing session, science, music, PE, art and Forest Schools.

The Ickabog

In literacy we have been reading The Ickabog by JK Rowling which has been an enormous success and one I would recommend to all of you (children and adults alike) who would like an exciting book for the summer holidays. The children have completed some amazing illustrations for the competition and these have now been sent off in the hope that they will be chosen for her book which will be published later this autumn. Here are some of the children showing their entries below.

STEM and Science lessons

In one of our science lessons we looked at structures and made bridges that would hold a lot of weight (our atlases!)

Forest School Sessions

In our last Forest Schools session we had a fire and toasted marshmallows!

Toasting marshmallows on the fire in Forest Schools. They were delicious.

End of term Fun

On our last day of term we had a water fight across the ropes with The Pirate Bubble! We had lots of fun, getting very wet.

Socially distanced water fight!
