  • Charsfield Pupils join the Suffolk Library Scarecrow Trail

    Published 22/03/21

As part of the Suffolk Library Scarecrow Trail, pupils from Charsfield School have made scarecrows of their favourite Julia Donaldson characters. As a school we follow the Values for Life in our daily school lives including: friendship, hope, creativity, loyalty, trust, perseverance, service and humility. Many of these themes run through Julia Donaldson's books and we used them to inspire us to create scarecrows to take part in the Suffolk Library Scarecrow Trail this Easter. The children have worked hard and are very proud of their efforts. Please do come and see them at the front of our school.

Pupils asked Christina questions about her career and what it was like to sing for so many people, including Chinese Presidents!  Pupils and staff then gathered around the poppy wreath that we had made at the front of the school for a two minutes silence  at 11am, and then  followed this by singing "Remember" to onlookers, who had stopped to pay their respects with us.
