Children In Need 18-11-22

The Great Charsfield Bake Off

On Friday 18th November, the children could come to school wearing something with spots or stripes for £1.

The children then had a morning of baking, each class had decided what they were going to bake to enter into 'The Great Charsfield Bake Off'. Class One made Viennese Whirls, with different flavoured jams and buttercream inside, Class Two made chocolate cookies with different flavourings in them and Class Three made cookies using different flavours too.

Then at 2.30 parents had been invited to join the children for the judging. Our judges were, Mrs Reynolds (parent and admin) and Mr Webb (parent and Governor), who had a great time tasting all the different creations.  They were judging on look, texture, taste and then their overall favourite. The overall winner was from Class One, with a strawberry jam filled Viennese Whirl.

At the end of the day, all the bakes were bagged up ready to sell, to raise more funds for Children In Need. A great day was had by all, and a big 'THANK YOU' goes to our wonderful judges, who had us all on the edge of our seats, to all the parents for their support with the various activities and to the children who worked so hard on their creations - there are some budding bakers here!

Photos of the day are in the photo gallery.
